German Emcee DAMAGED ROUGH

DAMAGED ROUGH is another "Ready To Get Busy" Emcee added to the International Hip Hop lineup. Munster, Germany is once again representing their country to the fullest. I especially like this video here because DAMAGED ROUGH is showing you how it goes down in his native homeland. We don't just tag in the U.S. I have experienced Hip Hop on so many levels as my travels have led me abroad. I always tell people that Hip Hop is truly International but if you have never been overseas you might not understand what I mean by that. This video will show you what I am talking about. Definitely a good job on this one. Big Ups to DAMAGED ROUGH. This joint is called "Whole Car".

German Emcee NeS

Munster, Germany Emcee, NeS is the 1st Emcee that I was made aware of. My man Kallsen of VisionBreaks 1st told me about NeS and sent me some of his links. I couldn't understand a word that NeS was saying but I could tell that he was ripping his tracks up. Kallsen told me that he mad NeS aware of this Massive Movement that we are about to create and he was all in. Exactly one day later Kallsen had confirmed that NeS would join the lineup and also sent me a few tracks that NeS produced himself for the project as well. Yes he is an Emcee slash Producer. Check this video out. This is a joint from his feature album "Tunnelblick". RESPECT HIP HOP

German Emcee BRINNO aka bernie cracklestone

As the roster for this massive International Hip Hop Collective continues to grow. I would like to introduce to you, BRINNO aka bernie cracklestone, from Munster, Germany. Check this video out. This is a joint that BRINNO collaborated with fellow Munster Emcee Nes. These two Emcees are definitely on their grind and making waves in the German Hip Hop Scene. I am definitely looking forward to collaborating with these guys for this project.

Newest German Emcee SOKOM

Check out this joint from German Emcee "SOKOM". SOKOM has recently joined the rapidly growing International Hip Hop roster. As I have already stated Hip Hop is definitely Universal and it doesn't have a color. This has to be one of my favorite songs and videos that I have heard and seen thus far. This definitely reminds me of how the Hip Hop scene used to be in the 90's in the U.S. Beat is A+, Flow is A+, and video is definitely A+. Check this joint out, it is called "All Time Greatest". Definitely more to come from SOKOM.

Baltimore S.O.N. connects with German Producer DJ SoulClap

“This is how we take the old to the new!“ This quote from an old Nice & Smooth song is what best describes DJ SoulClap’s production. Born in Braunschweig, Germany and embedded in the Hip Hop culture since the late 90’s he has been making his way from creating mixtapes for his friends to producing songs for the whole world to hear. SoulClap started DJ’ing in 2001. When he saw Masta Ace and Edo.G on stage in 2004, he decided to dive deeper into the music. “I had a good friend who had been making music for years with his group called Soultecniques. He showed me how to make beats with Cool Edit and Fruity Loops, I’m still sticking to these programs till today.”

DJ SoulClap made his first international contacts on mastaace.com. His first productions were songs for B.L.O from the Bronx and Lex from Queens. With the time passing by he made a lot of contacts on myspace and released his first Promo EP in the end of 2007. It featured artists such as Superstar Quamallah, Tony Tigerstyle, Brown Co., Bru Lei, Stranger Day and Shaoo Zulu. After getting a lot of good feedback from all around the world he quickly put out the follower, which was a remix of Jay-Z’s American Gangster album. He remixed the whole album on one weekend to be one of the first to put it out, followed by more than 100 other producers who also remixed it. It was featured on blogs and websites all over the internet and two of the tracks got honored by being featured on each of Kevin Nottingham’s “American Gangster: Best of the Remixes” albums on kevinnottingham.com.

In 2008 his long time partner and other half of the Soul Occs, Tony Tigerstyle came to Germany for two months to record songs for their album called “Soul Brothers”. They did a song with Punchline of eMC that is called “Dedicated to the B’s” which had over 2000 downloads. They also opened up for eMC in Kiel and became the talk of the town afterwards. All of the Soul Occs’ shows had crowds around 300 people who were partying with the duo as if they were already known for years.

In 2009 SoulClap had his first official international placement on Superstar Quamallah’s critically acclaimed album called “Invisible Man” with the song “Purity”. The album was on place 10 of the top sellers of UGHH.com, even before albums by Raekwon, J Dilla and KRS-One & Buckshot. In the summer of ’09 he produced a song for Masta Ace & Edo.G, which was supposed to be on “Arts & Entertainment”, but it was kicked off last second to be on their follow up EP called “Extra Entertainment”. The song, which is called “Authentic” caused many people to draw comparisons to DJ Premier. “When I met Blaq Poet in early 2010 and played some beats for him, he called me the white Premo. I’m not trying to sound like him. I always do what the sample is asking me for. If the sample wants to be chopped in a certain way, I do it, if it sounds like Premo in the end, that’s just how it had to be. But I also make beats without samples, where I use instruments and synths.”

A Talk With The Baltimore S.O.N.

Baltimore S.O.N. (Shinning Over Negativity) is a member of the GROWNMAN Hip Hop Group which got their start in Tokyo, Japan in 2004. GROWNMAN would open the door for other U.S. unsigned Hip Hop Groups to perform at venues throughout Japan at a time when that was unheard of. GROWNMAN garnered a massive following abroad that is continuing to grow. Each member is now working on solo projects with a 3rd GROWNMAN album in the works. The Baltimore S.O.N. is currently getting close to the finishing stages of his solo "HisStory THe Audiobiography of Baltimore S.O.N." project. He has constantly been told that he doesn't sound like the typical Baltimore rapper. His response to that is, "I'm not a rapper, I'm an EMCEE".

Baltimore S.O.N. spent 9 years in the U.S. Air Force which afforded him the opportunity to travel around the world and experience different cultures as it relates to life and Hip Hop alike. "I have had the opportunity to grace the stage in venues around the world in places I would never have imagined I would be in, and was showed mad love, that's when I knew that I was on to something." "HisStory" is officially the first full length solo project from The Baltimore S.O.N. After leaving Tokyo, Japan in 2006 the S.O.N. took a hiatus from making music. He said that he just didn't have the motivation any longer and he was disgusted in the direction the music industry had went. His love for music would not allow him to stay sidelined forever and with his eventual return to Baltimore and the birth of his son he found a rejuvinated love for music. The Baltimore S.O.N. has been quoted as saying, "The game is so trash right now that I don't even listen to music that much anymore, so I decided that if I don't like what I am hearing I have to do something about it." He will surely tell you that this is the premise behind "HisStory".

When asked how he felt about his project, the S.O.N. simply stated, "I am loving how everything is coming together and I want everyone that had a hand in it's creation and everyone that this will reach to feel as good as I feel about it." It should also be noted that the Baltimore S.O.N. has created this entire project without writing down one line. When asked about this he states, "I really just got lazy, it was taking me too much time to keep jotting my rhymes down." He also adds, "I really realized how blessed and talented I was as a result of this, to be honest, I don't even own a rhyme book. If you see me with a book bag in the stu, it just has my water, external hard drive and the camcorder and digital camera."

The Baltimore S.O.N. admits that he is not looking for a deal but he is always open to do business. "I feel that I'm just like that dude everybody knew growing up around the way, Main Man could hoop his ass off but never made it to the league." People have often asked the S.O.N. if you are not trying to secure a deal, why are you doing it. His response to that is, "I love playing basketball and I know I'm never going to the league but you still see me in the gym every week beasting." The Baltimore S.O.N. just wants tp let people know that there is still people in the Hip Hop community that are making music with substance. Baltimore S.O.N. is determined to give you real music without the allure of the streets.

As Always,
Respect, Peace & Blessings

Baltimore S.O.N. featured on upcoming mixtape

It is official, the Baltimore S.O.N. has been in the studio not only recording his much anticipated "HisStory The Audiobiography of Baltimore S.O.N." album but he has team with 2 Emcees from Baltimore. Courtesy of Cool Music Group the S.O.N. has teamed up with Baltimore natives EaGLe(in the above photo) & ReLL CeeZ for their upcoming "untitled" mixtape. "I actually have Rell & Eagle on a cut from my album, the track is called "Jaded" and is actually one of my favorite cuts on their", the Baltimore S.O.N. states. When asked how he came to be on their mixtape he says, "It's all luv, I have known these brothers for a few years now and we always said we were going to connect, but with me in and out of the country it just seemed to never happen." The S.O.N. also adds, "I am back home now, they told me what they were doing and I told them that I was all in, the rest is History, no pun intended."

After previewing a few tracks from the upcoming mixtape it gives off a vibe of some lyrical brothers that definitely have street knowledge and a love for music. Their feature track is a track titled "Bmore Amazin" where the two brothers show their love for Hip Hop and how they like to stay fresh, but by no means are willing to sell their souls.

In closing this is defintely a mixtape that does not lack substance and will be monumental to showing the diversity of Baltimore EMCEES.

As Always,
Respect, Peace & Blessings
